The idea

Recovery only works
if you actually do it.

Everyone knows they should stretch after training. Almost nobody does, because twenty minutes on the floor at ten at night competes with everything else in the evening — and loses.

Something you can hold against a tight calf for ninety seconds, sitting on the sofa, doesn't have that problem. That's the whole argument for this device. Not that it beats stretching, but that you'll reach for it.

Ten minutes, most evenings. That's the entire routine we're suggesting.

Twenty combinations

Find the setting
your body wants today.

Four heads, five speeds. Choose a pair below and we'll tell you what it feels like and when to reach for it — the same guidance we'd give if you emailed and asked.

Head

Intensity 3 of 5

GentleFirm

Broad and steady

The everyday setting. Wide, cushioned contact spread across quads, glutes or shoulders — enough to feel like something is happening, gentle enough to use while you're half watching something.

Reach for it: most evenings

These are the actual heads and speeds in the box. Nothing here is invented for the page.

In the box

Four heads,
four different feelings.

Everything included with the Recovery Lab Rapid Pulse

Precise (bullet)

Small, focused contact for a knot you can point to. Use it briefly and gently — this one goes a long way.

Soft silicone

Flexible and forgiving, for bonier places, tender spots, and anyone who finds firmer heads too much.

Buffer disk

Wide and cushioned. The general-purpose head, and the one most people simply leave fitted.

Flat

Even contact across large areas — back, thighs, shoulders. Long, slow passes rather than working one point.

Ten minutes

What using it
actually looks like.

  1. 1

    Sit down somewhere comfortable

Sofa, bed, the floor if you like. Buffer head on, intensity two or three to begin.

  2. 2

Start with the biggest, tightest thing

Usually calves or quads. Slow passes along the muscle, ninety seconds or so, keeping it moving rather than parked.

  3. 3

    Work upward, unhurried

Hamstrings, glutes, shoulders. Change intensity whenever it stops feeling right — that's what the button is for.

  4. 4

    Stop before you're bored

Ten minutes is plenty. More isn't better, and short sessions most days beat one long one on Sunday.

Honestly

What it does,
in plain terms.

Warms the area and brings blood to it

Mechanical stimulation increases local circulation in the tissue under the head. That's the mechanism behind most of the rest.

Takes the edge off soreness and stiffness

The most common reason people use vibration before and after training. Most describe the area as looser and less tender afterwards.

Helps you move more freely, for a while

Loosening tight tissue tends to restore range of motion in the short term — useful in a warm-up as much as a wind-down.

Feels genuinely nice

Not a scientific claim, just the honest reason a recovery tool ends up used rather than shelved.

And what it doesn't do

It doesn't break up scar tissue, reduce inflammation, flush lactic acid, build muscle or help with weight loss. Those claims get attached to devices like this constantly and none of them are things a massage device can promise. This is a recovery and relaxation tool — bought on that basis, it's a good one.

The device

Small, quiet,
easy to pick up.

A gentler tool

Not a massage gun,
and not trying to be.

Percussive guns hammer deep with a long stroke. This one works fast and shallow across a wider area — lighter on bony places, quieter in the room, easier to use for ten minutes without your arm complaining.

Describes typical devices in each category, not any particular brand. If you want deep single-point pressure on one stubborn knot, a percussive gun genuinely does that better — buy one of those instead.

Straight answers

Who it suits,
and who it doesn't.

A good fit if you

  • Train regularly and want something quicker than stretching afterwards
  • Sit all day and finish with a tight neck, back or hips
  • Want something light enough to actually take to the gym
  • Prefer broad, gentle relief to deep single-point pressure

Probably not if you

  • Want heavy percussive work on one stubborn knot
  • Have pain nobody has looked at yet — see someone first
  • Expect it to treat an injury or a condition; it does neither
  • Fall into any of the groups in the note below

Before you use it

The Recovery Lab Rapid Pulse is a wellness and recovery device, not a medical device. It isn't intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything, and nothing here is medical advice.

Please speak to a doctor first if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or other implanted device, deep vein thrombosis or a clotting disorder, osteoporosis, a recent fracture, surgery or open wound, varicose veins, reduced skin sensation, or diabetes-related neuropathy. Don't use it on the head, the front of the neck, directly over the spine, on joints, bruises or broken skin. Keep to one or two minutes per muscle group, and stop if it hurts.

90-day trial

No rush

90 days
to decide.

Use it properly — the gym bag, after leg day, on someone else's shoulders. If it hasn't earned its place after three months, send it back for a full refund. Used is fine; that's what a trial means.

  • 90-day trial, used returns accepted
  • 24-month warranty on the device
  • Free tracked 2–3 business days delivery

Before you order

Things people
tend to ask.

How long should a session be?

One to two minutes per muscle group, keeping the head moving. Ten minutes covers a whole lower body. Longer isn't better and can leave an area tender the next day.

Which head and speed should I start with?

Buffer disk, intensity two or three. Stay there for the first few sessions while you learn how your body responds, then adjust. There's no prize for using the highest setting.

Is it loud?

A low hum rather than a hammering. Quieter than a percussive gun, and easy to use in the same room as someone watching something.

How long does the battery last?

Six to eight hours of running time, charged over USB-C from any phone charger. At ten minutes a session that's weeks between charges.

Can I use it every day?

Yes, within those session lengths. Short and often works better than long and occasional.

Can it help with an injury or ongoing pain?

Please ask your doctor or physiotherapist and follow what they say. Vibration is commonly used alongside rehab, but whether it suits your situation isn't something we can assess — and we won't pretend otherwise.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the body and heads with a damp cloth or an alcohol wipe, then dry them. Never submerge any part of it, and unplug it first.

How fast is delivery?

Free tracked delivery from our US warehouse, usually 2–3 business days. Tracking is emailed as soon as it leaves.

What if it isn't for me?

Send it back within 90 days for a full refund, used or not. Email help@atnawellness.com and a person will sort it out.

Ten minutes,
most evenings.

That's all we're suggesting. 90 days to decide it wasn't worth it, and a 24-month warranty if the device itself lets you down.
